How many smartphones you purchased with 1080×1920 full HD displays till now? Myself I used more than seven phones since my Samsung Galaxy Note 1 in the year 2011.
How much RAM you had with your first Android phone? It might be in between 512 MB and 1 GB. But now all the recent models comes with 2 or 3 GB of RAM. Personally I settled down with 4 GB of RAM with my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+.
What I am feeling is, we are buying new phones without any major enhancements compared to the old phones we already used.
If I tempted to buy another 4 GB RAM phone it is a foolish idea. Phone manufacturing companies are also failing to offer more advanced features with their new models.
What is the purpose of buying a new phone if you already have the similar phone with you right now? Changing one or two phones for every year is becoming habit for the users. But the benefit you are getting is worthless for the thousands of rupees you are spending.
So this is the crucial time for the companies like Samsung, Xiaomi to improve their specifications. There is a rumor that Samsung is coming with 4K display and 6GB of RAM for its upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 flasgship phone. Other companies also need to follow this strategy for their flagship phones, otherwise they can’t survive.
