Airtel and Vodafone planning to change their mobile plans soon in the context of Reliance commercial entry into the mobile market. They fear about the migration of the existing customers to Reliance Jio because of Reliance Jio plans .
They demonstrated two separate presentations to their retail vendors, explained various things on Reliance Jio.
They argue that as Mukesh Ambani said, 1 GB data is not at all for Rs. 50 on any particular Reliance Jio plan. The lowest possible rate is Rs. 67.
Mobile users must pay a minimum of Rs. 149 to get voice calls & for data, they must select Rs. 499 plan, how can it be cheap? – Airtel argues. The company pronounced it as the “just a marketing gimmick” by Reliance.
Anyhow Airtel and Vodafone decided to start pricing battle with Reliance Jio, and soon they are coming with unique tariff plans for high average revenue users.
As per the Vodafone, the company has already offering equivalent rates in Rs. 250 to 999 price segment.
Whatever the actions and reactions from the Reliance, Airtel, Vodafone, the result is the end mobile user is going to benefit after a long time in Indian mobile industry. We have to welcome the formulations occurring in the industry.
