Facebook Trends are Controlled by Fresh Graduates

The trending topics of Google is what we see interestingly while logging in. They include the top trending searches and viewing topics (as we are considering). Unfortunately, the topics are not the actual organic trends but the manipulated results of the algorithms managed by some college going students or recent college graduates with little to no work experience.

The human monitoring is needed as the past trending terms are flagged as junk up to 40% of the content. This proved that relying solely on the computer generated algorithms cannot determine what a human wanted. That means, Facebook have a big responsibility to take care of the trending topics.

The influential newspaper stated that the trending updates in social media are not the due to the non-institutional bias but is a individual judgement. In that case, an experienced person should take of the hump of data that is flowing on the internet.

The digital marketing field indirectly depends on the trending topics and their reach. If a biggie like Facebook leave it to a individual judgement, what the markets should follow?

This news might disappoint the individuals and digital marketers but better look out for another ship rather than depending on the trends on social media.
