It seems that War between Indian Telecom operators is gradually gearing up. After Reliance Jio, BSNL is likely to offer BSNL Lifetime Free Voice Calls starting from Google 1st Jan 2017.
As per the information expressed by Anupam Shrivastava, Chairman BSNL, the state-owned telecom company will offer Free Voice Calls to all of its subscribers and also offer more competitive prices regarding data tariff compared to Reliance Jio.
As per the data plans announced by Reliance Jio, one needs to recharge minimum with Rs. 149, but BSNL is going to offer at least Rs. two to four lesser priced plans to its customers starting from Jan 2017.
If we analyze practically, if BSNL starts offering Free Voice Calls, more people will benefit with the company compared to Reliance Jio, because Reliance Jio is only limited to 4G supported cities and 4G enabled consumers whereas BSNL can offer free voice calls to all of those who are using 2G, 3G and 4G networks.
Whatever the strategies Telecom companies are planning to implement, definitely it is a welcoming move for Indian telecom industry. The country has to move beyond from voice-enabled services to data-centric services as early as possible. Then only benefits of technology can help masses living in roots of the country.
BSNL always offer all of its innovative plans to its broadband connection holders. The company follows this strategy to expand its broadband user base. So to get the unlimited voice calls from BSNL everybody needs to get BSNL broadband connection and the company route the voice traffic through that broadband.
