How to disable annoying notifications from Facebook

Notifications will be a great distraction for smartphone users these days. Notifications from the various apps regularly will be very much annoying and disturbing as well. Earlier in an article I have already written about blocking WhatsApp notifications on your phones, today in this article I am going to show you the process of disabling Facebook notifications.

In your PC:

Everyone must be receiving game requests on Facebook from their friends, but to get rid of such annoying notifications, you can do something

  • First, you should be logged into your account and then head to the Facebook settings page, over there you will find game and app notifications, click on edit
  • Then click on turn off
  • For disabling other notifications like birthday reminders, head to the notification settings page
  • There you can find the Birthdays option and click on off to disable app notifications, just like you can turn off the button behind the other type of notifications to disable them.

 In your android app:

  • Open the Facebook app in your android mobile where your account is logged in
  • Tap on the three horizontal lines available on the top right corner of the app
  • Then click on Apps settings
  • Then tap on notifications and then disable the notifications that you don’t need.

Follow these steps and get rid of the annoying notifications that you often get into your mobile and even PC.

How To Quick Restart Google Chrome Without Losing Tabs

Google Chrome, the most popular browser among the internet users. And we should also agree with the truth that the Chrome browser is a major memory hog. We may find the system slow down sometimes. When we try to find a solution for that, we find the uninstalling of chrome add-ons as the most suggested solution. Doing a browser restart is also among the most recommended and useful solutions. Restarting a browser normally will be done by just closing the chrome and then double-clicking the application icon on the desktop. But this action will close all the browser tabs which we may find quite uncomfortable. Google has a special URL that helps the users to do a quick restart without having to lose the tabs.

For restarting chrome here is a quick URL that helps you do that and that is chrome://restart. Just copy and paste this URL into your browser’s search bar. Then press enter and it will just close all the browser tabs and will restart the browser again with all the tabs that are previously opened.

If you restart your browser a lot, then there is a need to make this web page as a bookmark and that will help you to quick restart the browser with just one simple click.

Here is how you can add quick restart to the bookmarks:

  • Open the Google Chrome browser and hit CTRL + D keys which will open bookmark window.
  • Enter the name of the bookmark that you wish to keep, for example, Restart.
  • Then click on the edit button available in the bottom of the tab.
  • Now copy and paste chrome://restart this URL in the URL box and then click on save.

That is it you are done with the setup and you can now easily restart the browser without the fear of losing your tabs.

Enabling Ambient Display On Your Android Device

Among the many cool and really awesome features of Android devices, the ambient display feature is one. It, in fact, gives the users the convenience of viewing a dreading the notifications from various applications right from their lock screen and this is made available to the Android users who have android lollipop version or above installed in their devices. So, here we present you the process that you need to follow to get this amazing feature on your device and this process helps in getting this feature on any android device.

Enabling Ambient Display

And as not everyone has their phones rooted we are presenting you to the process of enabling this ambient display on devices that are not rooted, so that it helps the maximum number of people.

  • And to move forward or to just begin the process, you will need an Android app called the AcDisplay
  • You can find this application available in the Google play store and it is available for free that you can get it downloaded and installed on your device for free
  • Then open the application and you will have to enable the AcDisplay option as it will be in off mode by default
  • When you try to turn it on, it will ask you for a few permissions and do grant it to them by simply clicking allow
  • Then click on the three-dot icon on the top right corner of the screen and then tap on the Settings option
  • Then tap on the active mode option and tap on the disable on low battery option. It means the feature will be disabled when it is in low battery mode
  • You can also go through the various other settings of the application by exploring the application and make it custom according to your needs and requirements

How To Remove Write Protection From An SD Card

The write errors that we find on SD cards are literally a lot of pain and will disturb and distract us from all the things that we are doing and grab our entire attention. We may be picking the good company SD cards and purchase the perfect one. But these issues can be found on any company cards and as many cards have write protection, we cannot be able to format them to get them back.

Steps To Remove Write Protection In SD Card

We thought to bring a proper and easy solution for this he4ad burning problem and here are the steps that you need to go through

  • Some cards come with a toggle switch that has the ability to remove the write protection. So check whether your card has one such a toggle or not and if it has your solution is pretty simple, just toggle it and then try inserting it and you will be able to format it
  • And the second thing that you should check if your card doesn’t have a toggle switch is by checking the device’s properties. You just head to the Devices and Drivers window on your PC by just searching for devices and drivers on your PC and then right click on your particular card and click on properties where you will find toggle option, if you can’t find the toggle option even here, then head to the next process
  • The other troubleshooting step that you can try to get out of this issue is using the command prompt Open command prompt in administrator mode, then type ‘diskpart’ and hit enter, then type ‘list disk’ and you will find the list of disks connected to your device, then note the number of your card by figuring out your card by its size. And then type the command ‘select disk [disk number]’ and hit enter, then type ‘attributes disk clear readonly’ and hit enter to remove clear the write protection

Screen Recording Your Desktop Screen With YouTube

Screencasting is a pretty simple process as you just need to have a tool and hit the record button. There are a lot of software programs available that can be downloaded for free from the internet with which you can record your deice’s screen and later upload them to YouTube or share them with your friends. For doing this you need to have a software on your computer, while there are many useful tools available for free, there is another pretty simple way for screen recording your device’s screen is using the most popular video-sharing website YouTube. Yes, you can capture your device’s screen easily using  YouTube.

Screen recording Your Desktop Screen Using YouTube

All you need for this is a web browser and a YouTube account. Here is the step by step process to do that

  • Sign in to your YouTube using your Google account.
  • Click the upload icon which you can find on the upper right corner of the screen and then click on Live streaming and go to events option there
  • Now just click on the new live event button there
  • You will then be directed to the create event page where you need to enter the title for your screen recording video
  • Set the privacy to either private or unlisted and then click on Go live now button
  • Then hangouts on air page will be opened, turn off the webcam and microphone by clicking on the camera button on the right corner of the pop-up window. Also, toggle the microphone button if you don’t want to record the audio
  • Then on the left side of the window, you can find the screen share option. Just click on that and select the window that you wish to record the screen of. Or you can also select the entire window if you wish to record the entire screen window
  • Click on the start screen share button. Then on the start broadcast button which will start recording the screen of the window that you have selected. As this is a private session no one can see while you record it.

YouTube Dashboard

  • When you are done, just click on the stop broadcast button on the bottom. Then head to the YouTube dashboard where you can find the saved recording
  • You can see the saved screencast which you can share with your friends and all by downloading it to your Google drive.

All your recorded videos will be saved to your YouTube dashboard which you can download and share with the world
