Whenever you searched any location in the Google Maps, it automatically saves in the Google Maps History. Not only searched location but also the places you visited, shared locations also stored in the History. Sometimes this is useful while browsing the Google Maps, but because of privacy reasons you may feel to clear this location history. Here “Computer Era” is going to demonstrate complete procedure to achieve this.
I’m showing this on Android phone, but the procedure is same on Apple iOS also.
1. Open “Maps” application in your phone and tap menu button to get more options.
2. In the menu, scroll down to the bottom and select Settings
3. Here in the Setting, you can find a entry named “Maps history”, tap this one.
4. Immediately you will get list of places you visited earlier, the places you searched through Google maps, the directions you accessed. Actually this history is useful to navigate the places earlier accessed. But in case you want to delete those entries tap the “X” button in front of each and every entry, it will automatically removed from the History.
Same procedure you can follow on iOS devices like iPhone, iPad etc, if you are accessing Google Maps from desktop, there will be similar option to clear the location history.
