Five Indian Students won Google’s annual Web Rangers contest

Web safety is becoming the primary concern among the online users. Keeping this in mind Google conducted year contest on online safety in which five Indian students won the contest.

There are three students from two Telugu states on the winners list. Mavika Boyini from Hyderabad studying in NASR school is one of them. Another Telugu girl Vaidehi Reddy is studying in Army Public School located in Pune and Raviteja Anumukonda is studying in Chirec Public School, Hyderabad. Other two belongs to Ghaziabad and Chennai.

Google gave them a task to create a campaign on online safety to stop harassment online and other safety issues. They prepared the campaigns in the form of videos and sketches and apps.

Mavika Boyini made a few cartoons by stating that don’t post any content which your grandmother would not like. Kanish Chugh from Ghaziabad came up with an anti-phishing game which educates us on phishing attacks. Raviteja focussed on password strength we have to follow while creating the online accounts. Google gifts all the five winners with Chromebooks and tablets. Congrats to those winners on behalf of “Computer Era”.
