Nowadays we regularly using GPS (Global Positioning System) in numerous devices like mobile phones, Vehicle GPS receivers etc.
GPS facility works on GPS satellites. Actually GPS was created by the United State for military use, but was eventually opened up to civilian usage. At present at any point of time 24 GPS satellites are working in orbit around the Earth, and they’re constantly broadcasting data. These satellites are arranged in orbit such that 4 satellites are visible in the sky from any point on Earth. These satellites are constantly transmitting radio signals towards the Earth. Our GPS devices works as receivers for those signals.
In this video demonstration I explained the logic behind exact location based services like Google Maps and the role GPS plus Mobile network operators Cellphone towers plays to decide our exact location.
