Smart Objects allow Photoshop users to do some powerful things, but if you haven’t used them before it can be challenging to understand how to use them. Adobe describes Smart Object this
way, “Smart Objects are layers that contain image data from raster or vector images, such as Photoshop or Illustrator files. Smart Objects preserve an image’s source content with all its
original characteristics, enabling you to perform nondestructive editing to the layer.”
Like anything else in Photoshop, the best way to learn about Smart Objects is to start using them and experiment. The tutorials featured in this post will show some examples of what is
