The popular iMessage app for Apple iOS devices is coming to Android shortly. Apple is reportedly planning to announce the iMessage app for Android later this week in Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC). Like the iOS’s iMessage app, the android version will also have the ability to exchange the encrypted messages from end-to-end.
Apple’s decision to expand their software on to other platform other than their native platform apps is appreciable. The Google’s recent introduction of Allo app in the IO16 supports the multiple platforms, Android and iOS and is a mashup of Facebook messenger and WhatsApp. Apple might wanted to grab those users who are already ready to migrate from the deprecated hangouts app to the latest Allo.
iMessage is one of the smart messaging application that is most wanted by the Android users. If Allo couldn’t impress the users that much, it would be the iMessage app for Android that grabs the thorn. This news might tickle the Android developers to bring their own special messaging applications on their custom UIs for their handsets.
However, we will have to wait till WWDC meet on June 13th to know about the official announcement. Till then let’s hope for the best. Subscribe to our email notifications and Facebook page for more updates about it in future.
