Are you using iPhone? Apple iOS 10 released to the general public few hours back. People who are trying to update to the latest version ended up with bricked devices which are not turning on.

A lot of people around the world tweeted that iOS 10 is Bricking iPhones, and they are unable to use them until they reinstall the OS by connecting to the desktop. Apple also confirmed the problem and trying to resolve the issue asap.

Before updating to iOS 10

If you want to update to the latest iOS 10 operating system for your iPhone, before proceeding to the update, connect your iPhone to the PC and backup everything as it is. And also make sure that you backup your important data to your iCloud account. Sometimes you may successfully upgrade to the iOS 10. But if you are the unlucky one who is getting “Connect to iTunes” screen while updating to iOS 10, follow the below steps.

How to troubleshoot bricked iPhone by iOS 10

When the connect to iTunes message is stopped you from using your iPhone, then just restart your device by pressing Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at a time. Sometimes it fixes the issue. Still, the problem persists, connect your iPhone to the computer and open iTunes software.

iTunes immediately displays “The software on your device needs to be restored to factory settings or updated” message on the computer screen. Click “Update” button instead of Restore.
