The demand for video calling applications has been increasing day by day. The competition between the online video calling platforms is becoming tough day by day. The companies are either trying to update their existing services or even some are coming up with entirely new services for attracting the users. In such an attempt Jio has come up with a new application JioMeet. JioMeet is a video conferencing application from Jio and it allows up to 100 participants.

About JioMeet

The application JioMeet is already made available to download for the users on both Android and iOS platforms. You can place HD video calls with your friends or colleagues completely free. The application just needs you to signup with a simple signup procedure where you can log in using mail id or even via OTP. The app also provides users an option to join as a guest where you can join a video call on your friend’s invitation and you will just need the meeting id and your name for this.

What is in it?

Once you are done with downloading and installing the application to your phone, then after signing up, you will find a few tabs on the top of the opening screen. They will be Favorites, Recents, and Contacts. You will also find a ‘video call’ icon next to the name of the user, which you can click to start a video call with that particular user.

Even placing group video call is pretty easy with JioMeet. What is interesting and more unique about JioMeet is that it offers a few features for the host which can be called admin tools. The host is given the ability to mute or kill the video feeds of any of the participants. Admins can also choose to kick any participant or end the meeting for everyone with the tap of a button.

Why don’t you give it a try?

Update: The company seems to be testing the app. The app is currently not available on the Google play store for the users to download. So, wait until the app is made available again.
