WhatsApp, the very popular messaging service has been introducing lots of new features since the recent past. Many people who use WhatsApp are not even aware of its basic features at all, but I have mentioned in one of my articles in the past. And now I am here to introduce you to all the new WhatsApp features that has been introduced in the recent times.
Come let us have a glimpse at all the new features once
We can now mention individuals with tags in the group conversations making it easy for us to talk to a particular person in a group chat. All we need to do is just type the symbol @ in the group chat box and it will show you all the people in the group, select the person you wish to tag, and that person will receive a notification. It’s that simple.
WhatsApp with its recent update to the app has brought some awesome snapchat style image editing features. While you share an image to WhatsApp, you will find three icons on the top right corner of your screen which enables you to edit the pic before you send. You can add emojis, funky texts, and even draw on the images.
Shooting photos and videos using WhatsApp can be more fun now. The new feature enables the users to take photos with front camera brightly as it has now the screen flash which brightens your screen and thus enhancing your photo.
Just double tapping the screen will switch from front camera and rear camera and vice versa.
Slide the fingers up and down to zoom in and zoom out while shooting videos using WhatsApp camera.
Another interesting and most useful feature that has been introduced recently is the quote reply feature which makes it easy to chat in group conversations. If you want to reply to a particular message, then just long press it and then you will find a reply button on the top pop up menu, click it and then type your message/reply to send it. This eliminates the confusion in the group chats.
A few text formatting features are also included in the recent WhatsApp updates and they can used by including some symbols. To make a particular text bold, just use * (asterisk) symbol on both the ends and in the same way to make the text italic use _(underscore) and to mark a strikethrough just use ~(tilde) on the both the ends of the text you want to strikethrough.
These all new WhatsApp features are thus very much helpful
