There are a few messenger applications which offer self-destructing messages. Facebook messenger users waited for this facility for a long time. As per the leaked screenshot published on Twitter, Facebook is introducing self-destructing messages soon.

Once self-destruction messages option comes into the action, the messages we send to the Messenger application will automatically disappear after the recipient reads them. Or we can set a certain amount of time in which the messages will be available to read. If the defined amount of time expired, those messages would disappear from the Messenger application.

The leaked screenshot shows that this new feature will arrive at Facebook Messenger Version 68.0 intended for iOS. Even though right now iOS users have the same Version 68.0 on App Store, it seems Facebook has to push the latest upgrade to the existing client.

Of course, if you have a little bit programming knowledge, you can get the same feature by tweaking the code. If you clearly observe the screenshot I published above, definitely you will get an idea on how to configure self-destruction messages’ frequency.

Once it arrives into iOS platform, Facebook will roll out the same feature for the Android users also in a few days.
