We might be using save password option quite many times and we use it for saving our various passwords. And it is normal and usual that we forget our passwords and what if we haven’t got them written or saved anywhere, don’t worry if you are stuck in such kind of a situation and for this you will have to have an Android device in which you have that password saved and you can view the saved passwords and make a note of them for logging with the password from somewhere else.

WiFi has become our main source of internet these days and wherever we go we get WiFi, but it cannot be easy to remember all those different passwords and what if we don’t have the passwords noted down somewhere, don’t worry, as today’s article will let you learn how to view the passwords that you saved on your device.

There are different procedures for rooted and unrooted android devices, so keeping in mind the most number of users who might be using unrooted devices, here we are presenting you the process of viewing the WiFi passwords that were saved on your unrooted device.

View Saved Passwords Of WiFi

  • For taking a look at the saved passwords from a rooted device, you will be needing a file manager
  • The file manager that you are using should give you access to the root folders. So choose root explorer or some other application like it
  • Now navigate to data/misc/wifi in the file explorer and look out for a file with the name wpa_supplicant.conf.
  • Then open the file with the inbuilt text or HTML viewer
  • Now here you will get to see the different networks and their respective passwords that you can take a note of for referring in future

You can try the process using other file managers like ES Explorer also, so give it a try.

How to get the floating bar like in LG V30 in any Android device

Many of us might be very much aware of the floating bar in the LG V30 and some of us are really in love with it. Don’t you think it would be great if we will be able to have that bar on our Android devices? Yes, Right!!!!

Of course, we can get that floating bar in our Android phones and other devices, here are the steps that you need to follow

  • You must have the Floating Bar LG V30  installed on your device
  • Now when you open the application, you can see four tabs on the home page where you can customize the things that you would like to have in the bar
  • The tabs are apps, tools, contacts and websites and each page have a toggle to enable and disable it. You will be able to add five items in each category
  • You can simply switch to a particular tab and then tap on the plus icon and add items in it
  • In this process, the app will ask you for permission which you need to grant to proceed
  • When you are done with adding, simply exit the app and you can see the bar floating on your home screen
  • And the thing to note here is that the app is free to use and you can only be able to add apps in the free version of the application, if you would like to add contacts, tools or websites as items in the bar, then you need to purchase the application

How to get Pixel 2 launcher on any Android device

The most awaited phones from the search engine giant the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are finally launched. There have been a lot of fans for the Pixel devices since their launch last year. The most special and attractive thing about the Pixel devices is the Pixel launcher. As the phones are high end, many of us cannot afford them but with a lot to have that kind of look. Then we can actually make our phones look like the Pixel 2 phones as we can have the same launcher in our Android device.

Follow the steps below and you can get the Pixel 2 launcher kind of look on your Android device

  • We are doing this process using the Nova launcher, so obviously you should be having the Nova launcher installed on your device, get it from here 
  • Just launch the application and set it up with a few taps, make it your default launcher
  • To start with, just clear everything on your homepage, you can long press them to remove
  • Now to make necessary changes, you should head to the Nova settings, long press on the home screen and the then tap on settings
  • To have the swipe up to open the apps option just like the Pixel 2 launcher, tap on App & Widget drawers and then enable the option to swipe up to open and disable swipe indicator option
  • To make it look clean exactly like the Pixel launcher, head to the settings main menu and then tap on Desktop, then select icon layout, disable label option
  • In the same Desktop menu, you have to make a few more changes, tap Height Padding and then select Medium option, select medium option for the width padding as well, this will make your icons and screen look exactly like the Pixel launcher
  • While you are on the same page which is the Desktop page, scroll down to make another change which is the Page Indicator and select none

Even if we cannot afford something, we can satisfy ourselves by creating a duplicate like we have just done.

    • Then head back to the main settings, tap on Dock, then select Dock background and set the transparency at 100%
    • Now head to the home screen and then long press somewhere to access widgets and find the Quick search bar and add it to your home screen
    • Long press it and tap on resize option and resize it to the width of the screen, and bring it to the bottom of the screen. Then long press on the widget again and tap edit, then select the coloured G icon under the bar style option and also enable search as overlay option
    • Now customize the home screen like you want it by adding your favourite app icons on the home screen above the search bar
    • You can also download and set Pixel 2 wallpapers to make it look more real
    • We are pretty much done with the setup, and one more thing you can do is that you can also set up the at a glance widget which shows the calendar events and date, time, weather using the applicationBusiness Calendar 2

How to enable and disable Google Play Protect

Google Play protect  is the feature that has been rolled out recently, Google announced about this feature in May at the Google I/O event. Basically, this feature is an evolution of the company’s Verify Apps feature that has been rolled out to Android few years back.

It is a real time malware scanner which scan each and every application that is installed or about to be installed in your Android device. The company has rolled out this feature in all the devices that are running on Google Play services 11 or above.

Here is how you can check whether you got that feature on your device or not

  • Open the Settings of your device
  • Then tap on Google option
  • Then select security
  • You can then find the Google Play protect option there where you can find the status of the app scan

Enabling and disabling the feature:

As the option is not available to view easily and digged deep inside the settings, even for enabling and disabling the feature also, you need to do the same like above

  • Open device settings
  • Then select Google
  • Then tap on security
  • Then tap on Google Play protect
  • There you can find two options, Scan device for security threats and Improve harmful app detection
  • The first option will be enable by default and you can enable the second option to make sure about the scanning of the installation of third party applications
  • You can disable those options to disable the feature

This is mainly designed for scanning the malware in the Google Playstore and thus helping the users to stay protected and this even warns the users about the harms or threats prone to your Android device from any third party services or installations.
