A note taking app from Zoho that is definitely worth trying

Note taking is the major concern for many of the smart phone users. There are many note taking apps until now both for the ios and android platform users. But here comes the one more useful and interesting app from Zoho, a Chennai based company. Its Zoho Notebook, a free note taking application for android and ios users.

The android app may not look as good as the ios app, but it is an efficient working app.

This application makes it easy to create notes, categorize the notes and also editing the notes as well. You can create various notes, check lists, audio notes. It helps you get the work done quickly.

You can even sync your various notes across the device by simply logging into the Zoho account or creating a new one.

The app allows to group the various notes with pinch gesture very easily.

This app from Zoho network works very well as a journal app, and it will be very much useful to those who like to keep a diary of notes. It also serves your various other needs like saving shopping lists, saving audio recordings.

There is no desktop and web application of Zoho notebook as of now.

How to troubleshoot BHIM app by Govt. of India?

To ease cashless transactions across the country, Govt. of India released BHIM application in a recent event. The app stood as the most downloaded app in the Google Play Store in a short period.

People facing a lot of technical issues while trying to register their bank accounts through the app and also because of a sudden spike in downloads the server itself causing connectivity issues.

The most common issue people are encountering is “device binding failed.” Few people are getting other error messages such as transaction declined message, unable to generate OTP message while using the BHIM app.

Few of the above-listed issues are associated with poor server connection, and sometimes corrupted configuration itself can cause the above-mentioned errors. So we can’t do anything on the server side, but following the below procedure, we can overcome few problems while using BHIM app.

First, you need to log out from the BHIM application. If you can’t log out from the app, go to Settings>Applictions option on your Android phone and find the BHIM app from the installed apps list. Clear data for the app.

Now place another SIM in the first slot of your dual SIM phone and use the second number to configure the BHIM app. Make sure to have 3G, 4G or WiFi, and the BHIM application needs at least 3G.

This new app shows Modi speech on 2000 Note

People are busy with finding ways to exchange their old currency notes with the new ones. At this moment here is an interesting Android app which displays Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s keynote speech about ban of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes on the new Rs. 2000 note. 

Barra Skull Studios, a start-up company from Bangalore developed the unique app and hosted on Google Play Store. Right now the app is only available for Android and the iOS version doesn’t available. 

To get the keynote video, you need to open the app and frame the Rs. 2000 note below the camera window. Once it detected the currency note, the application loads the Modi keynote video immediately. But you need to have good internet connection to load the video. You can download the application “Modi Keynote” from here. 

Note: The application is only to share Modi’s keynote to the masses, it can’t find fake notes.

Adobe released new Acrobat Reader for Android with powerful options

Adobe Acrobat Reader is the most powerful PDF reader in the world, no doubt about it. PC users already know the significance of Acrobat Reader but the mobile users are not aware of the app. 

Adobe today released the latest version of the Acrobat Reader to the Android and iOS users. The version is now offering a free scan tool which helps us to scan any document and convert it to PDF on the fly. 

You can scan your receipts, invoices, paper clippings, or a manuscript notes and the application makes the scanned document as PDF file. You can share the document through the standard sharing options available on your smartphone or store the file on the local storage. 

The latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader also lets you make single PDF by scanning multiple documents at a time. You can reorder the scanned bills or images as per your requirements. 

All the other regular opt like PDF reading, bookmarking the pages in a particular PDF file are also available in the latest version. Download the enhanced version of Adobe Acrobat Reader from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store to explore all the latest features.

Uber “Request a Ride for Others” introduced

Sometimes we need to book a ride for others who doesn’t have cab applications on their phones or for those who don’t know technology at all. To assist in such a situations, Uber introduced a new feature called “Request a Ride for Others.”

To benefit from the new functionality, you must have the latest version of Uber application installed on your phone. Whenever you want to book a ride for your friend or relative, select the exact location where the trip has to begin, and add the person phone number from your phone book. Immediately the trip will be confirmed, and driver coordinates with the passenger.

The person for whom you booked ride will get two separate messages, one is with the driver details and the second one consists the tracking link of the vehicle. You can also track the entire trip through the Uber application installed on your phone. This feature is only available in India.

Installing Uber app and maintaining mobile data balance is problematic for a lot of people. The “Request a Ride for Others” feature helps them in getting cabs without any app or phone.
