Apple

Not “Apple Store”, now onwards it is just “Apple” only

August 21, 2016 by computerera

Apple Store

Till now the best place to buy an Apple device like iPhone, Macbook Air, or iMac is Apple Store. Apple Stores provide a full range of Apple products at one location with professional staff.

Apple is simplifying its retail chain brand name by removing the word “store.” Apple issued a memo regarding the change to the employees. The change has to roll out gradually. First, the new Apple Stores have to rebrand their names, in the later stages, all the other older Apple retail stores have to rebrand their names.

In India, there are few Apple Stores only available across the country. We buy Apple iPhones or other Apple products from online shopping sites such as Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal, etc. or the local Apple dealers.

Those who are living in the US prefer to buy Apple devices from Apple Stores instead of online sites because of various reasons. Apple Store staff behavior and the support they offer is extraordinary. It is the one more strong reason for Apple success in the Europian countries.

What is wrong with Apple? Why it is not competing with Android phones?

August 14, 2016 by computerera

Apple Samsung Comparison

Compared to the feature-set latest Android phones have these days, Apple is far behind in the race. For example, take Samsung, the company bringing innovations every year to its flagship devices.

The latest Samsung flagship Galaxy Note 7 equipped with an iris scanner along with fingerprint sensor and the device is IP68 water &dust proofed. On the other hand, another Android phone manufacturers like Xiaomi, LG, LeEco., etc. are spending more resources on new features for an affordable price.

What is wrong with Apple? The company has always been focusing more on build quality and introducing a few new features with its proprietary operating system iOS. IPhone fans are getting nothing new more than that.

Frankly speaking, it seems that Apple is not at all bothers about the new features Android flagships getting with their every new model. Apple has a substantial share in the smartphone market. That’s why it is not feeling the heat from Android phones.

If we took iPhone 7 which is going to launch in next month into the consideration, concerning design the phone is near identical to iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. Faster processor, dual-lens camera, removal of the headphone jack, and redesigned antenna bands are the only changes taken place in the upcoming Apple iPhone.

If you are using iPhone 6 or 6S, there is no strong tempting point for you to upgrade to iPhone 7. In the same manner, if we compare Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Note 7 there are lots of new things happened with the latest model.

Apple habituated to enjoy its fan base. Apple fans always argue, trying to convince people by highlighting the butter smooth performance iOS and Apple iDevices deliver. Yeah, the calibration both the hardware and operating system have is a great point, but it is not enough for those who invests thousands of rupees every year on newer iPhone models.

Apple must start to do magics with the upcoming models. Otherwise, the downtrend right now it is experiencing with iPhone sales will completely damage the brand value sooner or later.

Now iPhone 6’s turn to blast

August 2, 2016 by computerera

iPhone 6

Two days back I wrote an article in Xiaomi phone blast incidents. People started worrying to buy Xiaomi phones.

But today the same occurred with Apple iPhone. The incident clearly indicates the poor implementation of batteries in the consumer goods.

Gareth Clear from Sydney, Australia Posted a tweet on Twitter with a shocking image. He placed hit iPhone in his back pocket. When he fell from the bike suddenly, it caught fire. Within seconds the iPhone 6 exploded, started melting with the shorts and upper two layers of his skin. Apple promised the man that the company will investigate the incident.

Since few days such type of incidents are creating fear in smartphone users across the world. We are expecting more features and great battery backup from the phones we use. It seems that mobile manufacturing companies are not taking stress tests on the batteries they are using the phone they design.

Shocking news, no iPhone 7, no magic, it is normal iphone 6 se

July 27, 2016 by computerera

iphone 6 se

Another shocking news for iPhone Fans. Don’t expect for iPhone 7 this year. Apple is going to release iphone 6 se in the coming September. I already wrote that Apple is not bringing significant design changes in the upcoming model. iPhone 6SE is designed as enhanced version of iPhone 6S.

This year Apple released iPhone SE, but it didn’t succeed in the market. Apple is doing the same mistake with the upcoming model. 2016 will remain bad year for Apple in terms of sales.

Apple has a plan to introduce completely innovative model next year, on the occasion of its 10th anniversary. Since two months there are a lot of rumours and leaked images circulating on the internet on upcoming iPhone. In the month of  May, I already made a post on iPhone 6SE design leak.

And you can watch the leaked video of iPhone SE I shared here. A few months back, while visiting India and China Apple CEO, Tim Cook covered his disappointment with Apple sales by blaming Indian market and other Asian markets. Those expressions already clearly indicate the emotional struggle Apple is facing right now.  Earlier I wrote on this.

Anyhow the latest news is strong disappointment for diehard Apple Fans.
