We may all be very much familiar with listening audio from our devices. We may be listening to different sounds, sometimes there may be a need to record that audio coming from the device. There are several reasons and requirements for recording the sound that comes out from our devices. So, here I am going to show you in this article the process of recording the system audio in Windows devices.

Every windows device usually has an inbuilt recording system Stereo mix, it is very easy to use, but you may not find it enabled in the new versions of Windows. You can enable it with a few simple steps where you need to right-click on the speaker icon on the taskbar and then click on Recording devices, you will find a Window open. Under the Recording tab, you should find the option Stereo Mix, if you not you make it visible by right-clicking in the open space and then enabling show disabled devices option. Now you can see the option visible there, just right click on it and then click on enable.

Now recording the system audio can be possible after you enable it, but with the help of a simple audio recorder audacity. You can install it from Here
Now open the program and then find the microphone icon which you can find above the playback area. Then change that to stereo mix by selecting it from the drop-down menu. And also select output device by selecting the drop-down menu after clicking the speaker icon. Select speakers or headphones according to your output device.
You are done with setting up. Finally, if you wish to record the audio from your system, just click on the record button in audacity and the audio recorder will start every audio that comes out of your device. Then click on stop when you are done and you can even export the file in your required format.
