How to send encrypted emails using Gmail

We would all have known about encrypted messages. The various popular messaging applications like WhatsApp and Facebook have introduced this encryption feature quite a long ago. But have you ever thought or wondered about having such a thing for emails? yes of course, it will be very much useful and safe for all those people who exchange sensitive information over emails.

Gmail, the most used mailing service needs this feature. As this service is not available as an inbuilt feature, one needs to add the extension from Chrome browser.

In the chrome browser’s web store search for the extension Secure mail for Gmail

And add this extension to your chrome browser.

This extension lets the user send encrypted emails where the data will be hundred percent safe.

Then just open your Gmail account and sign in using your mail id and password. Just beside the compose mail button, you will find another option with lock symbol in it, click on it and a box will open, type your message and enter receiver’s details and click on send. Now it will ask you to enter the encryption password which you need to enter and share with the receiver later as he/she needs this password to open that email received. That is it, you can now very easily send encrypted emails using secure mail.

How to enable Gmail desktop notifications

Gmail is the most powerful and useful email service from the search engine giant Google. It is popular because of its various features and user-friendly nature.

Gmail leads in the competition of the mail services. Many people might not be aware of the desktop notifications feature in it. It is the feature where the users will be notified whenever a new email arrives.

Here in this article, I am going to show you the process of setting up the notifications for email which will send you notifications no matter what you are doing on the PC whether browsing the internet, watching videos, pictures, you are not going to miss anything important after enabling this feature.

  • To start with this thing, you must be logged in into your Gmail account.
  • There will be a gear icon available on the top right corner of the screen, click on it and you will find the Settings option, click on it.
  • You will be taken to a new page, there you have to scroll down to the Desktop Notifications option
  • Over there you will find three options and select according to your choice, I suggest to choose the first option “New email notification on”
  • Now click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the screen.

How to enable Gmail preview pane using simple steps

Gmail, the mailing service from Google is the most used mailing service without any doubt. Large amounts of people use Gmail for their primary source of communication. But many people might not be aware of the various features that the Gmail offers. Don’t worry I will let you know the various useful features that the service offers its users. But as of now in this article, I am going to show you the process of enabling the Gmail preview pane feature.

This feature helps to have an email preview on the same screen that you are along with the other emails on one side. This gives the users ease of access to the various emails in the Inbox and makes easy to switch between the emails.

Steps for enabling the Gmail preview pane feature:

  • At first, you must be logged into your Gmail account
  • You will see a gear icon on the top right corner of your screen, click on it and then click on settings
  • Then you will be directed to another screen with various options, now choose labs tab
  • Now you will see search for a lab option there, type preview pane in the box and you will find the preview pane result below, just enable it and click on save changes
  • Google will load the page again after saving the settings
  • Now you can see an icon just beside the gear icon on the top-right corner of the screen where you can change the orientation of the pane, you can choose either vertical or horizontal.

That is it you are now done with setting up and can now be able to view email preview.
