June 28, 2020 by Satyapriya

Gmail is undoubtedly the most popular email service in the world. However, it is quite common for an app with about a billion monthly active users to have a few glitches. But whatever the glitches might be, they will be quite annoying for the users as they will hit them bad enough and decrease their productivity. So now, here in this article, let us look at some of the worst Gmail annoyances that we face with Gmail and also proper solutions to them.

Dealing With Gmail Annoyances

Sorting emails:

If you happen to open your mail inbox after a long vacation or something like that, then who doesn’t wish to see a sorted inbox rather than looking at the inbox with a huge number of unread emails which may include spam, junk mails as well. If you wish to have a properly sorted mail inbox, then you can actually work around with this trick.

  • You can simply type from:[sender’s name] in your mail search box to find emails from a particular person.
  • You can also use another search using size:[size in bytes] and add M at the end of the number to find emails above that particular size you have searched

So, these simple search tricks make sorting mails simple in Google mail.

Email signature:

Google has actually hidden the shiny signature templates and restricted the world from using them. Google has hidden them under the three dots at the bottom of your email window.

You click on the gear icon on your email window and then click settings, then head to the general and scroll down to the signature section of the page, there you will find an option “insert this signature before the quoted text in replies and remove the “-” line that precedes it”, just check that box. You can find this option below the email signature window.
