Google is bringing Virtual Reality experience to its Google Chrome browser for Android.
Till now you can watch Virtual Reality content exclusively on VR ready websites that support WebVR protocol only. Google already implemented “VR Shell” feature in the Beta version of the Google Chrome browser that helps the users to experience Virtual Reality content on any websites even they don’t have WebVR capability.
The current WebVR is one of the JavaScripit API that helps in creating Virtual Reality based websites on the internet. If you are browsing VR content on a VR ready website, suddenly if you decided to switch to another plain website you need to remove the VR headset to read the plain content.
Google is overcoming the discomfort by enabling VR support to every website that the user is browsing through the Google Chrome browser. Samsung already developed a special version of the web browser for its Gear VR virtual reality headset.
