Touch Disease made the iPhone users panic

August 27, 2016 by computerera

touch

A New issue is affecting iPhone Users, one that Apple is still maintaining silence.

Mainly iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S users may be seen this issue called “Touch Disease.”

What is Touch Disease?

If you notice that your phone has a flickering gray bar at the top of the screen, it might be afflicted with touch disease. this affects the phone’s TouchID sensor and the screen, eventually leaving the touch screen unresponsive. Initially, it is just a small gray bar on the top of the phone, over time the bar grows until the whole screen is rendered unusable.

Why this happening?

This is related to Bendgate according to iPad Rehab’s Jessa Jones, who told Cult of Mac that the problem might be caused by the fact that bigger iPhone 6 units do tend to bend when a certain force is applied.

1. It is because of Apple’s design choices. In the iPhone 6, instead of using a metal shield to protect the board like on the iPhone 5s, Apple reverted to a sticker shield. The sticker doesn’t protect the chips as good when the board bends and the Touch IC chip is especially susceptible to damage when the phone bends.

2. According to iFixit, is a problem with two chips on the iPhone that govern touch responsiveness. If these chips go bad or become disconnected, then the phone will no longer respond to touch. The solder that links the chips to the phone’s logic board appears to be weakened in Touch Disease afflicted devices.

This flaw shows itself in the form of an occasionally unresponsive touchscreen. When the problem gets worse, the touch screen will no longer work at all.

Remedies :

1. Twisting the phone slightly or applying pressure to the screen can make it briefly work as normal. But over time the grey bar reappears and spreads.

2. First of all clean the screen. clear the oils, liquids on the screen with a cotton cloth

3. Try reboot the phone. If you are still facing unresponsive screen try next step.

4. Restore the iPhone from a Backup. if you still encounter that freezing screen follow the next step.

5. Do Factory Reset. this erases all the data.

If you still face the problem call the Apple Support. And read the below suggestions.

How to get repair:

1. Apple’s repair Geniuses aren’t equipped to make specialized repairs to the logic board in-house, so they can’t actually fix Touch Disease.

2. If your phone is under warranty, Apple will repair it, but if it’s out of warranty you’ll have to either pay to replace the logic board or buy a completely new phone.

3. skilled, third-party specialists can fix phones with symptoms of Touch Disease. And they can do it a whole lot cheaper than the cost of a new logic board or an out-of-warranty phone replacement.

Prevention:

To prevent Touch Disease, you should use a case for your phone, and prevent any bending. There are lot attractive phone covers those adds beauty to the phone lets use them. For many users, that might be too late.

Now iPhone 6’s turn to blast

August 2, 2016 by computerera

iPhone 6

Two days back I wrote an article in Xiaomi phone blast incidents. People started worrying to buy Xiaomi phones.

But today the same occurred with Apple iPhone. The incident clearly indicates the poor implementation of batteries in the consumer goods.

Gareth Clear from Sydney, Australia Posted a tweet on Twitter with a shocking image. He placed hit iPhone in his back pocket. When he fell from the bike suddenly, it caught fire. Within seconds the iPhone 6 exploded, started melting with the shorts and upper two layers of his skin. Apple promised the man that the company will investigate the incident.

Since few days such type of incidents are creating fear in smartphone users across the world. We are expecting more features and great battery backup from the phones we use. It seems that mobile manufacturing companies are not taking stress tests on the batteries they are using the phone they design.
