YouTube Tricks You Should Note

  • Pressing spacebar will pause the YouTube video, this you may know. But it works only after a click on the window, in such cases ‘K’ key will pause the video without having to touch the mouse.
  • J and L keys help you to rewind and forward the video for 10 seconds respectively.
  • Arrow keys also perform the rewind and forward action but for 5 seconds, that is if you want to rewind very small part, use these keys. Left arrow to rewind and right arrow to forward.
  • Press “F” key to go into full-screen mode.
  • Using the number keys 2,3,4…. You will be taken to 20%, 30%, 40% ….. of the video respectively.
  • Pressing “0” will take you to begin of the video.
  • Pressing Up and Down arrow will increase and decrease the audio by 5%.
  • “M” key will mute/unmute the video.
  • Turning any YouTube video into GIF is actually by simply adding the word ‘gif’ right before the domain name of the video URL. For example, if the video URL is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfcVoR8TbfY, then your GIF URL will be https://www.gifyoutube.com/watch?v=lfcVoR8TbfY

  • Then go to Personal dictionary, then click on all languages
  • Hereby selecting the plus icon you can just add shortcuts to various text phrases that you regularly and most frequently used by the full phrase in the first box and then entering the shortcut to that word in the box below

That is it, you are thus done with the setting up of the keyboard shortcuts for long phrases, now as soon as you enter the shortcut words to the long text phrases, the keyboard will show up the phrase in the suggestion which you can just select to get it typed and make your work really fast and quick.
