Xiaomi is there for us. The company entered into the laptop market with the latest introduction of Mi Notebook Air. It directly targeted Apple MacBook Air that to at a lower price point. Xiaomi Notebook Air is released in the China market today for RMB 3,499 (Rs. 35,277) , and another bigger model is priced at RMB 4,999 (Rs. 50,396)
The laptop is ultra-thin and available in two models. One is with 13.3 inches screen, and the other is the 12.5-inch display. Both are light weight measures 2.82 pounds and 2.36 pounds respectively.
The bigger model runs on Intel Core i5 processor with 8 GB RAM and for faster disk performance it equipped with 256 GB SSD. We can attach an external hard drive to the notebook to get additional storage. Xiaomi Notebook Air primarily designed for Gaming purpose, so it has dedicated graphics card. Powerful Nvidia GeForce 9400MX graphics card used on the laptop. With a single charge, you can use the laptop continuously 9.5 hours. And within half an hour the battery will be charged to 50%.
The smaller model works on Intel Core i3 processor and comes with integrated graphics chip. It equipped with 4GB RAM and 128 GB SSD storage. This model gives more battery backup than the above one, means you can get 11.5 hours backup on a single charge.
Mi Notebook Air model ports USB Type-C port for charging. It has USB 3.0 ports, HDMI port and 3.5 audio port for headphone. Another interesting element is, the laptop comes with Genuine Windows 10 Operating system.
Xiaomi entry in the notebook market will create a sensation in the industry. We witnessed the same in the smartphone market. Both the laptops will available in India soon.
