The most awaited phones from the search engine giant the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are finally launched. There have been a lot of fans for the Pixel devices since their launch last year. The most special and attractive thing about the Pixel devices is the Pixel launcher. As the phones are high end, many of us cannot afford them but with a lot to have that kind of look. Then we can actually make our phones look like the Pixel 2 phones as we can have the same launcher in our Android device.
Follow the steps below and you can get the Pixel 2 launcher kind of look on your Android device
- We are doing this process using the Nova launcher, so obviously you should be having the Nova launcher installed on your device, get it from here
- Just launch the application and set it up with a few taps, make it your default launcher
- To start with, just clear everything on your homepage, you can long press them to remove
- Now to make necessary changes, you should head to the Nova settings, long press on the home screen and the then tap on settings
- To have the swipe up to open the apps option just like the Pixel 2 launcher, tap on App & Widget drawers and then enable the option to swipe up to open and disable swipe indicator option
- To make it look clean exactly like the Pixel launcher, head to the settings main menu and then tap on Desktop, then select icon layout, disable label option
- In the same Desktop menu, you have to make a few more changes, tap Height Padding and then select Medium option, select medium option for the width padding as well, this will make your icons and screen look exactly like the Pixel launcher
- While you are on the same page which is the Desktop page, scroll down to make another change which is the Page Indicator and select none
Even if we cannot afford something, we can satisfy ourselves by creating a duplicate like we have just done.
- Then head back to the main settings, tap on Dock, then select Dock background and set the transparency at 100%
- Now head to the home screen and then long press somewhere to access widgets and find the Quick search bar and add it to your home screen
- Long press it and tap on resize option and resize it to the width of the screen, and bring it to the bottom of the screen. Then long press on the widget again and tap edit, then select the coloured G icon under the bar style option and also enable search as overlay option
- Now customize the home screen like you want it by adding your favourite app icons on the home screen above the search bar
- You can also download and set Pixel 2 wallpapers to make it look more real
- We are pretty much done with the setup, and one more thing you can do is that you can also set up the at a glance widget which shows the calendar events and date, time, weather using the applicationBusiness Calendar 2
