One of the most talked things about the recently launched flagship from OnePlus 5 is its reading mode, it has attracted a lot of people that many wish to have that feature on their devices as well. Reading mode is basically the prominent feature from the Oxygen OS of the device, this mode optimizes the display for reading with blue light filtering and grayscale mapping.
You can also have it on your android device if you wish to and the process is also pretty simple, you just follow these simple steps
There are various ways for enabling this mode on your device and setting through the developer options is the first choice
• The first thing to be remembered is that your device should have developer options enabled, if you haven’t done that before, just head to Settings and then click on About Phone, then tap on the ‘build number’ 7 times, now you get the developer options under your device settings
• Now go to the developer options and look for ‘simulate colour space’ option, tap on it and select ‘Monochromacy’
• Now you get the grayscale scheme applied on your device’s screen like the one you find in OnePlus 5’s reading mode
• If you want to disable this just head to Developer options>Simulate colour space, here select Disabled option
You can also get this option in your Android device using some third party applications like Twilight, Night Owl.
