Reliance Jio offering only 50% of speed compared to Airtel

November 3, 2016 by computerera

Reliance Jio offering only 50%

Reliance Jio is suffering from various technical and policy related issues in the Indian telecom market. As per the latest information got from the CLSA based on TRAI speed test statistics, on an average Reliance Jio is now providing only up to 6 Mbps speed to its subscribers.

The figure is exactly 50% of the internet speed providing by Airtel right now. Airtel is giving up to 11.5 Mbps speed to its mobile subscribers on the 4G connectivity. On the other hand, Idea and Vodafone have the average 4G speed of 7 Mbps across the country. Now Reliance Jio is performing less compared to those speeds.

Airtel is gradually expanding the 4G coverage in various circles. The company is now providing 4G services to 19 markets out of the total 22 markets it is giving services.

Initially, Reliance Jio offered excellent speeds up to 35 Mbps in the preview offer. Once the service is commercially launched with three months unlimited benefits, the company failed to meet the vast bandwidth demands from the free users.

Reliance Jio is taking all the necessary actions to improve it’s network quality, and planning to extend the Free benefits up to March 2017. So soon we may experience the true power of Reliance Jio. Otherwise, the company will wiped out from the minds of Indian mobile users.

Reliance Jio Free till March 2017

October 25, 2016 by computerera

Good news for the Reliance Jio customers. Reliance is planning to extend the free unlimited voice calls and daily 4 GB high speed 4G data until March 2017.

When Reliance Jio started its operations commercially on 5th September, the company announced free benefits upto 31st December of the year.

As per the TRAI’s recent order Reliance can’t give promotional offer beyond 3rd December. It doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy free benefits. As per the TRAI’s directives Reliance Jio should not provide new connections in the name of the promotional offer. The company can extend free benefits to the existing subscribers.

The main reason behind the Reliance decision to extend unlimited calls and data is to provide better experience for the customers through its network.

Reliance failed to give the  taste of the high speed Internet and free voice calls because of the various reasons such as interconnection issues accumulated by Airtel and other networks.

Gradually all the technical and non-technical issues are sorting out. This is is right time to provide better services to the customers.

TRAI Imposes Fine on Telcos for Blocking Reliance JIO Calls

October 23, 2016 by computerera

The fight among telecom operators of India has gone out of bounds. The competition has gone that far that they even started blocking calls from each other’s numbers thereby misleading the customers about the Quality of Service. Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) that controls all the telecom businesses in India have slashed a lash against the top 3 telecom operators with Rs.3050 crore fine for blocking Reliance JIO calls in an anti-business practice.

Telecom operators literally wanted to play with the customers by imposing unnecessary implications that fetch them more money in the name of business. It is well know to us when these operators (including Reliance) started charging for separate internet services with the data plans. Later when the net neutrality in India had taken pace to end this unfair business model.

The whole country fought against net neutrality collectively and sent signed petitions to TRAI India. Later you know what happened to net neutrality in the country. It is not just the duty of the telecommunications regulatory authority but also the duty of the people and customers to fight against the unfair sipping of money in the name of less validity and restricted plans.

Why TRAI imposed Rs.3050 crore on Airtel, Idea and Vodafone? What we can can do?

We all know that Reliance JIO Infocomm Ltd. was introduced with a revolutionary plans for unbelievable prices. Reliance JIO 4G plans are much better than any other telecom operator can offer. This increased the JIO stock over night and the stocks of all other telecom operators including the top telco India like Airtel, Idea and Vodafone has come down straight from the heights to the hell grounds.

The business model of Reliance 4G in India is different and it would take years to totally into JIO’s model for other operators. The telcos like Airtel, Idea and Vodafone had not expected this black hole right under the skin of JIO until announced. Then the Airtel, Vodafone revise rates of the their services and took down the prices of the plans in a week. Idea seemed like had nothing backed up to save itself from the pricing storm but lately introduced the cut offs.

To tackle the Reliance JIO Plans strategy, instead of improving their services and rates, telco India have started to block incoming calls from it. This has led to false consideration that the JIO is a bad service as offered for free during the first 3 months. Many techies and experts have been warning on this issue and customers are just unhappy to see Reliance 4G LTE service being un-useful.  This is an unfair business scheme which is observed by the TRAI and warned telecos about it. This anti-business practice had caused interruption in the mobile services and TRAI India has taken this issue seriously this time. So, for the first time in the history, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has imposed a huge amount in each telco India operators as a compensation to the service interruption to the customers. This is the reason why TRAI imposed Rs.3050 crore on Airtel, Vodafone and Idea.

If you are aware of the Airtel, Vodafone pricing war that started initially but slowed down lately. There could be a mutual agreement between these telcom operators to pull down JIO from that hype. If you even observe precisely, the Airtel by-products, Airtel Red is also a bigger failure than the JIO Mobile. The Airtel vs Vodafone war had some unsaid treaties in the background which led to the availability of the cheaper Airtel prepaid top up. This cheaper Airtel top up have changed the face of those old switch to Airtel campaigns. To be precise, Reliance 4G plans have caused a disruption in the telecoms in India starting from Airtel.

As a customer, you can contact TRAI and explain in detail about the mal-practices in their services. I recommend you to go through the regulations before doing so as you would also need some serious knowledge about TRAI and its operations. Just like the net neutrality in India, we could also ask for quality of service (QoS) from the operators that we are getting service.

Don’t get mislead by hoaxes. Think a while before taking action. Reliance JIO will no give trouble in connecting calls as I hope.

Why Reliance JIO Can’t Limit Your Phone to Their Service?

October 12, 2016 by computerera

Reliance JIO is all buzzing around the clock in India since a few weeks. The reason is the low priced data plans offered along with the unlimited free calls and messages. Who doesn’t want free calls and messages? To be frank, Reliance tariff plans are one of the best and new ones that I have ever seen in my mobile phone usage experience. Last time, it was Tata Docomo that created some traction in the mobile companies to bring them down to second pulse rates and now the Reliance.

Why Reliance JIO can’t limit your phone just to their service only?

It is no rocket science. The terms and conditions are simpler to understand. The business the Reliance is doing is also not a big oblique strategy to fool the millions of people in the country. JIO is a new level of service like what it is already available in the foreign countries. Before you fear about those rumors that say that the Reliance Infocomm Limited is going to take control of the SIM slot of your phone, make sure to think of the following points:

Reliance JIO is just a telecom service provider

Reliance JIO Infocomm just offers telecom services and have no right to take control of the devices that you own. They provide the service doesn’t mean to offer a right to take control of your property. Your cable operator can’t take control over the TV that you own. Can they? And house painters can’t take control of your choice to hire them or not. Can they?

I hope you are clearly understanding what it really means.

Reliance JIO Mobile is their for them. They don’t need yours

Reliance has released their own JIO Lyf mobile handsets which support JIO SIM cards natively. If the rest of the mobile phones can’t support the JIO connection, the impact of the sales of Reliance JIO mobile will directly show on the next level telecom service. So, the company has associated with the other mobile handset makers which have good market inside the country.

Why JIO SIM is not compatible with every 4G handset?

No rocket science again.

The JIO is introduced as a test for 3 months. That means JIO stock will be limited and is supplied to interested customers to try out the network in the real time for a short period. That is why it is given to limited devices only. If it had strike to you by now, you would have noticed that is why they wanted your IMEI numbers. They take IMEI numbers to cross-check if your handset is in the associated business deal with manufacturers.

When you buy a smartphone of a device from a company for an one-time price, it means that you can use it with some Reliance JIO SIM card or some thing else. You will have complete right over the device as the company that sold you the device gives the complete usage rights. It doesn’t limit to some particular purpose. You may use your smartphone to crack the walnuts and who asks?

So, who are spreading the rumors?

Yes, of course the same you are thinking, the competitors. Firstly they blocked the calls from Reliance network and they started spreading these rumors. Reliance tariff plans would be the best and affordable tariff rates so far if all other telecoms works healthily associated. Failed to tackle the Reliance’s new buzzed venture, other telecom operators are spreading these rumors.

As all the Indian mobile phone users are not so sound technically, they can’t understand what’s happening and why. If you think you are getting fooled, yes, it is all other network operators who are doing it with their bluffed tariff plans and spreading rumors like these.

If you still afraid to buy a Reliance JIO Mobile or SIM card, here’s you can do:

I know how that feels to listen to a hoax that is believed by the most of the people. If you are still afraid to take a JIO SIM card, remember these points before you think about it.

  • You have the right to use your phone in every possible way you want.
  • You have the right to sue Reliance JIO Infocomm Ltd for taking control of your phone which can be charged over cheating and hacking sections.
  • You will still get a new phone (of same old model that you own) if it happens so from the Reliance.
  • Always remember the reason why Reliance Lyf mobiles are a failure. The possible reasons are the bad hardware and network limitation.
  • Before you carry a hoax in your mind, think about the general laws, rights and possibilities for corporations if you can. You would get answers for most of the future questions too.
  • Reliance tariff plans are dong well in most of the regions of the country. Only phones that are incompatible are getting speed restrictions. Yes, incompatible phones (non-associated) are getting identified by the company to reduce the stress over their servers).

Sridhar sir have explained why other SIM cards fail after using JIO along with a simple solution to set back your phones to old network settings. Watch the video below to understand.

Reliance Jio selling user data

Shocking news for the Reliance Jio users, as per the information shared by hacktivist group Anonymous Reliance Jio is selling the user voice call data to ad networks located in the Singapore and US without giving any prior information to the users.

The must-have apps for every Reliance Jio users My Jio and Jio Dialer are sharing the call data to the ad networks. In return, Reliance Jio is getting revenue from those networks. A year back the similar practice comes into the limelight with Airtel. Airtel began to sell the http traffic to few ad networks to get revenue.

Reliance Jio executive clarified that the company gives more priority to the user data and privacy, it never compromises in those areas. But Anonymous mentioned how Reliance Jio is sending user data to remote servers. They used Burp tool to analyze the data packets sent over Reliance Jio voice calling application.

Reliance Jio is also using third-party SDK to develop its apps, and that means it indirectly violating the user privacy, anonymous said.
