September 15, 2016 by computerera

There is a strong rumor circulating on the internet which is panicking those who are willing to use the Reliance Jio SIM’s on their smartphones.

The rumor is, “You can’t use other SIM’s on your smartphone once you used Reliance Jio on your phone.” The story itself shows the innocence, lack of knowledge of the rumor creators. It is entirely false information. You can use any SIM on your phone. Reliance Jio never locks the network to your device. Those who failed to use other SIM’s doesn’t know how to change network mode on their devices.

In the above video, I showed how to use other SIM cards on your phone, you can watch it.

How to use other SIM’s after Reliance Jio

As I said earlier, Reliance Jio never locks your device with the IMEI. You need to remember that Reliance Jio is an LTE-based SIM. So those who started using Reliance Jio SIM on their phones configures Network type as “LTE” in the Settings>Network Modes.

Later when they swapped other SIM’s on to their devices forgot about this. Sometimes the option may not be available on their phone. To get the option back you need install “Shortcut Master Lite” app from the Google Play Store, and identify the appropriate shortcode for the band selection menu for your smartphone model. Then change the network from LTE to Auto (LTE/CDMA/GSM). That’s it now you can use any SIM on your phone.

So try to understand how people are behaving crazy while circulating fake information, and keep away from the rumors, if possible it’s better to educate others with facts.

Watch this in live action in the below video.

Why Reliance Jio Calls are not connecting?

September 14, 2016 by computerera

Reliance Jio Calls

Whenever you are trying to call other networks through Reliance Jio, you may be uncertain about whether the calls connect or not.

You are not the single person suffering from the problem, across the country crores of Reliance Jio users are feeling frustrated with call failures.

Most of the people didn’t know the exact culprit of the issue and started blaming Reliance Jio’s network. Reliance Jio has the state of the art infrastructure equipped with them. In some areas, there might be a weak signal strength is causing little issues to the users, but the biggest problem is interconnection ports issue accumulated with other telecom companies like Airtel, Idea, and Vodafone.

Already all the existing telecom companies creating an issue to Reliance Jio since it’s preview offer. The interconnection ports issue reached to Prime Minister’s office a couple of days back.

After hearing the judgment from TRAI, Airtel and Idea announced that they offer more interconnections ports to Reliance Jio from now onwards. But whether the issue resolves or not depends on the transparency they maintain while following the telecom guidelines.

As per the statistics released by Reliance Jio, already 52 Crores calls failed with Airtel, Idea, and Vodafone, and on an average out of hundred phone calls Reliance Jio customers making to other networks, 75% of the calls are failing because of the interconnection issues.

So blaming Reliance Jio is not at all solution for the issue. Reliance has it’s own failures regarding new activations etc. (I’ll discuss them later), but for any company which came with Free calls, unlimited data it is common to take a massive amount of time to meet the huge demand.
