Reliance Jio Troubleshooting – Frequent problems & solutions

September 7, 2016 by computerera

Reliance Jio Troubleshooting

Compared to one month back now a majority of the people got Reliance Jio SIM, few are waiting for activation. While using Reliance Jio on the phone sometimes we might come across certain problems. In the Reliance Jio Troubleshooting section, here I list few problems & their possible solutions.

Compatible phone – Reliance Jio Troubleshooting

First of all, you must have a compatible phone to use Reliance Jio SIM smoothly. If you are using a feature phone or if you are using a 2G or 3G phone you may not benefit from Reliance Jio. (I already explained a technique on how to use Reliance Jio on 3G phone here, sometimes it helps)

Those who are using dual SIM phones, 4G is primarily supported on SIM 1, but for any reason, you are not willing to place Reliance Jio SIM on SIM 1 Slot, you are out of luck.

SIM is not recognized – Reliance Jio Troubleshooting

Remove the SIM, place it again, restart the phone & check it once.

As I already mentioned above, if you are using dual SIM phone, use the Reliance Jio SIM on the 1st SIM slot, never use it on the second slot, most of the times it may not work.

If everything seems ok, but still your SIM is not recognized, then it may not be compatible with your phone.

SIM is ok, but no Signal

If the Reliance Jio is recognized but disappointed with no signal, if you are one of those who use dual SIM phones, check whether the SIM is turned on by heading over to the Settings>SIM Settings. Make sure to turn it on and also by configuring Settings> Mobile Networks >Preferred network type, set the network to LTE only.

SIM is working, but no able to make calls

I already discussed the problem while tele-verification of the Reliance Jio SIM. The same problem occurs while we are making regular calls. Calls fails immediately we dialed to another number. If you are struggling with the same issue, install Jio Join app from the Google Play Store and then make calls from that app. So above are the few Reliance Jio Troubleshooting techniques.

Reliance Jio may further slash prices

September 6, 2016 by computerera

As per the latest information obtained from trusted sources, it seems Reliance Jio has big plans in its strategy to spoil competitors market share.

As per the information, Reliance Jio is going to extend free unlimited calls and unlimited data even after January 1, 2017 to increase its quality customer base. And it has a plan to reduce tariff.

If this happens, it will become hard for the Airtel and other telecom companies to keep the existing customers with them.

Reliance Jio which is getting financial support from Reliance Industries is strongly decided to take financial risks to settled down in the Indian telecom industry.

Since yesterday Reliance Jio started commercial operations, and experienced massive demands all over the country. In few places Reliance Digital stores also implemented token system for the users seeking Reliance Jio SIM cards.

The company is making all the necessary arrangements to cope up with the accumulating demand, today onwards eKYC also being started.

September 6, 2016 by computerera

Reliance eKYC

Beginning today most of the Reliance Digital and Digital Express outlets support eKYC to process new reliance jio 4g connections fast. So before approaching the Reliance Digital stores here are the few things you need to know about Reliance eKYC.

Why Activations delayed?

KYC means, Know Your Customer. While taking new bank account or mobile connection or applying for credit card, all the organizations need to collect vital details of their new clients in the form of identify proofs & other supported documents. Then only they can process their services.

Till now, to get new Reliance Jio SIM, you must carry a xerox copy of Aadhaar card, one passport photo along with you.

Once the SIM has issued no way SIM was activated instantly because all the furnished documents from the various customers have to be collected at the end of the day & they need to verify before activation.

That’s why new Reliance Jio SIM activation is taking longer times.

What is Reliance eKYC?

Beginning from today, you no need to carry any documents with you to get Reliance Jio SIM. Just you have to remember your Aadhaar card number. When you visited Reliance Digital stores, show your 4G handset & tell your Aadhaar number, the store people scans your fingerprints, if they matched with the data available on UIDAI servers, then they issue the SIM card without any documents. And the activation also finished in few hours instead of few days.

Reliance eKYC helps those who are expecting faster Reliance Jio SIM activation.

Airtel, Vodafone pricing war

Airtel and Vodafone planning to change their mobile plans soon in the context of Reliance commercial entry into the mobile market. They fear about the migration of the existing customers to Reliance Jio because of Reliance Jio plans .

They demonstrated two separate presentations to their retail vendors, explained various things on Reliance Jio.

They argue that as Mukesh Ambani said, 1 GB data is not at all for Rs. 50 on any particular Reliance Jio plan. The lowest possible rate is Rs. 67.

Mobile users must pay a minimum of Rs. 149 to get voice calls & for data, they must select Rs. 499 plan, how can it be cheap? – Airtel argues. The company pronounced it as the “just a marketing gimmick” by Reliance.

Anyhow Airtel and Vodafone decided to start pricing battle with Reliance Jio, and soon they are coming with unique tariff plans for high average revenue users.

As per the Vodafone, the company has already offering equivalent rates in Rs. 250 to 999 price segment.

Whatever the actions and reactions from the Reliance, Airtel, Vodafone, the result is the end mobile user is going to benefit after a long time in Indian mobile industry. We have to welcome the formulations occurring in the industry.
