Safe mode is a well-known word and mode among all those PC users. As many of you may know it is a mode which helps you to get out of trouble from an application or a corrupted driver that is preventing you from doing any other tasks. Many of you may have been familiar with the term in PCs, but very few people know that our Android devices like tablets and mobile phones also have this mode. Yes, they actually do have.

Safe mode can help you to track down the causes of problems you may be having with your smartphone. When you boot your phone in Safe mode, it doesn’t run any third-party apps installed on your device. If your smartphone has been overheating, suffering battery drain, or otherwise not performing properly — yet it doesn’t exhibit these issues while in Safe mode — then you know that an app you installed is the culprit. So, this mode is basically like testing your device for any problems that it might be facing.

Enabling And Disabling Safe Mode

The Safe mode can be used as a troubleshooting tool, that allows you to work with minimum software and thus helping you to figure out which is the app is causing issues on your Android device.

For Android, troubleshooting follow these simple steps

  • Press the power button on your device until it shows up a menu on your screen.
  • Now long press the Power off button
  • Now it shows the option to reboot the device in safe mode, then click on ok.
  • It will land you into the troubleshooting mode.
