Now we can see BlackBerry name on a wide range of products

April 1, 2017 by computerera

We all are familiar with BlackBerry smartphones which once we considered as the status symbol for business users. BlackBerry lost its charm in the Android era, and now it is following a different approach.

A few days back I wrote about an Android-based BlackBerry phone named KeyOne. In fact it is not a Blackberry’s own device, the company outsourced the brand license to another company.

In the same manner, now Blackberry granted the license to its name to few more companies which are engaged in manufacturing wide variety of products such as smartphones, wearables, home appliances, medical devices, etc.

So soon we can experience Blackberry tablets, Blackberry smart watches and other gadgets in the market. Already Nokia followed the same strategy with its brand name. The latest Nokia smartphones right now we are discussing no way belong to Nokia original company, HMD Global got the Nokia brand license and manufacturing various Nokia smartphones. This is the proven way to keep popular brand names in the users minds and gain revenue in return.
