This KickassTorrents clone seems to be scam

August 15, 2016 by computerera

KickassTorrents clone

KickassTorrents got few clones after it suspended, a month back. Because there is no trusted source available for pirates,  iIt seems this is a hard time for those people who search for torrents regularly.

Almost 15 days back, the famous Kickass clone KAT.am taken down after the Motion Picture Association (MPA) complaints against the clone on piracy content. It looks like the domain is registered again with another spammer right now.  The present KAT.am site is not serving any torrents; instead, it is asking financial information to download torrents.

When you tries to download torrents from the KAT.am, the site pop ups a message saying, “Free Account Required.”. Once you click the button, it requests your credit card information. Original Kickass Torrents site never asked this information from the visitors. So be careful before entering your card details.

The statistics it is displaying on the torrent download page is completely fake. For example, see the above screenshot, it is highly impossible to have 13,500 seeders for a regional language movie, that is not that much popular movie.

Torrent sites across the globe facing serious copyright issues with the music, movie, and game industries. So we can’t predict which site available for a long period of time. It is better to purchase original content instead of depending on the pirated one.

A small trick to get Free Windows 10 even after the offer expired

August 1, 2016 by computerera

Free Windows 10

A couple of days back, i.e. on 29th July Microsoft stopped to providing Free Upgrade facility to the Windows 7, Windows 8, 8.1 users. If you want to use Windows 10, you must purchase the retail version right now.

I had warned a number of times before the deadline. Few people followed my guidelines and upgraded to Windows 10. If you are one in the unlucky category who missed the Free Upgrade offer, here is an alternative trick to get Windows 10 free still now.

Microsoft offers Free Windows 10 upgrade for those who are suffering from disabilities. The company created a dedicated web page for the customers who are using assistive technologies.

By visiting the web page, you can get Free Windows 10 upgrade without fail. Here is the statement from Microsoft about this offer:

“For the general public, the free upgrade offer for Windows 10 ends on July 29. However, if you use assistive technologies, you can still get the free upgrade offer even after the general public deadline expires as Microsoft continues our efforts to improve the Windows 10 experience for people who use these technologies.”

It doesn’t ask any valid proof for the disabilities. Just you have to press “Upgrade Now” button on the web page. Immediately one EXE file will be downloaded into PC, and the upgrade process will begin.
