How to overcome Attention Required! One more step. Please complete the security check error

July 24, 2016 by computerera

 Attention Required!

While browsing different sites on internet people frequently facing one big issue. While we are expecting the web page, one warning message displaying on the screen like this:

Attention Required! One more step. Please complete the security check to access www.abc.com”

People are becoming panic after reading this. They are suspecting that there may be a viral infection or something else happened in their system. To some degree that is true. Here are the exact reasons for the warning message.

Nowadays DDoS attacks on the websites are rising. Therefore every site is focusing more on the site’s security. CDN (Content Delivery Network) providers like CloudFlare are offering DDoS protection services to the websites. If the website we are visiting implemented this mechanism, more likely we may come across the above warning.

But not always this happens. If the CloudFlare CDN service identifies our IP address as the suspected one, then it asks us to complete the Captcha Verification to prevent the DDoS attacks.

Because of various reasons, our public IP may become suspectable. There might be a malware infection on our computer which uses our computer like botnet to make DDoS attacks on various sites unknowingly. If that is the case, your public IP will be marked as dangerous IP on the internet. It indirectly leads to the above security checks while browsing the internet.

First of all, check your computer with any powerful antivirus software for malware infections and clean unnecessary junk files. In few cases using the alternative browser help us to overcome the issue temporarily.

Sometimes there might be a problem with the ISP (Internet Service Provider) like Airtel, BSNL, Act Fiber you are using. If everything is clean on your computer, you have to ask your ISP to check if the IP or subnet mask is blacklisted. As an Act Fiber customer living in Hyderabad and maintaining my computer in perfect condition, I never faced the issue. So by correcting the above reasons, you can also get rid of the problem.

PC users come across various issues such as connectivity problems, PC slowdown, virus infections, etc., frequently. Troubleshooting Windows computer is not an art, and just you need to have the sufficient knowledge on the issue and its countermeasures.

Here I will explain, various tools to troubleshoot your Windows computer without the help of hardware technicians.

Update Device drivers

device drivers

In my personal experience, I faced thousands of people who don’t have an idea on device drivers on any operating system. Device drivers play a crucial role as a communication bridge in between the hardware and the operating system.

Outdated or the poorly written device drivers lead to serious PC problems such as the blue screen of death. So time to time, check the hardware manufacturer’s website for the latest drivers for your hardware devices like display card, soundcard, printers, LAN card, etc., and update them by downloading the exact version intended for your model.

If you’re not sure where to search for the device drivers, “Driver Booster” is an excellent software which helps you in this regard.

While installing this software, untick other unnecessary applications which come bundled with this setup file. Otherwise, driver booster will install other unnecessary toolbars which will hijack the default search engine.

This software provides two tabs named outdated and up-to-date. The outdated tab contains a list of all the outdated device drivers exists on your computer. You can update each device driver by clicking the update button available in front of its name. On the other hand “up to date,” Tab lists all the device drivers which are in perfect condition.

Sometimes, file corruption in the Windows operating system becomes the main reason for Windows malfunction. We can resolve the issue by replacing the corrupted files. In this context “Fix Win 10” analyses the core system files, and provides us the option to fix them instantly.

Before using this, it’s better idea to create a restore point of the current working condition. This application provides another section with the name “Troubleshooters”. I hope you already know the fact that Windows has inbuilt troubleshooter modules for various issues. Troubleshooters section in the Fix Win 10 program provides easy access to those modules.

Ultimate Windows Tweaker

This application doesn’t provide any direct troubleshooting options. Instead, it offers various functions to enable and disable certain Windows features. You can enable or disable all the available features in Windows Operating system at one place.

Here also it is a wise idea to create a restore point before making any change, otherwise, sometimes you may end with unwanted results.

Don’t Worry, Here is the solution to stop Spam on Facebook

April 22, 2016 by computerera

facebook spam

Since a couple of days I’ve noticed panic environment around all the Facebook users. People posting disclaimer notices mentioned that “they don’t have any direct connection with the adult video spam circulating through personal messages.

Earlier on every occurrence when the spam triggered, I made a number of detailed posts about the procedure to stop spam and provided guidelines through various TV channels also. But still people are becoming victims for such type of spams.

How Facebook Spam Circulate..

Spam creators target human weakness to circulate spam virally. Adult content, exciting thumbnails are the main strategy they follow. They just create a plugin with Java script which grabs our Friend list. This is enough to make vast damage in social media.

First you will come across a spam thumbnail which offers Nude or porn content to watch. Without any second thought, you follow that link. It will redirect to an external site, where you have requested to download a free plugin to watch that adult content. As you are already in a hurry to watch that at any cost, you don’t think about security concerns behind this move.

You finally install that plugin and waiting to watch the adult content. But in return one error message disappoints you without giving any clue about what happened behind.

What happened behind that?

Still, you are in a thought that you are not able to watch that porn video. But a lot of damage already finished without your notice. That plugin collects your Facebook friend list and sends “porn thumbnail” messages to all of your friends with random file numbers. Now they are the targets for the spam. Some type of spam makes timeline posts on your walls by adding tags to your friends. This is also nasty thing.

What to do?

Simple solution here.

1. If you got spam personal video from others:

You no need to worry, simply ignore it. Don’t click it, don’t tempt to open it. If somebody tagged you in spam timeline post’s, try to remove the tag or keep silent, no need to worry.

2. If you already clicked and infected your system..

Follow the below video to clean your infected system.

Please share this article to educate other Facebook users who are becoming victims for spam links.
