September 12, 2016 by Satyapriya

WhatsApp is probably the most popular messaging services among the smartphone users these days. Almost all the smartphones these days have WhatsApp installed in them. We may come through many types of people on the internet. Some who send photos regularly thinking it as their duty to do so will definitely be cursed by everyone I guess.

The device storage will get filled up only because of the regularly sent images over the messaging application. The deleting of all those unnecessary images becomes our regular task.

device storage

WhatsApp hasn’t coming up with any such concept of deleting the unwanted images.  But the members of one of an Indian startups, who previously worked as employees Adobe once has come up with an interesting and useful application which is called the Magic Cleaner.

Magic Cleaner is a wonderful application which serves this aspect perfectly. This application is available for free download for the Android users through the Google Play store.

This application allows the user to automatically delete the unwanted and useless images by freeing up the device storage.

When you run the application it scans the media folder of the application and detects the various junk images which include memes, screenshots, videos, cartoon, screen grabs and many other pictures. After detecting the unwanted images, it then shows you up all the images giving you the option to delete all of them at a time.

One important thing that you need to know is that this app needs an active internet connection as the photo detecting will be done at the server and this will not going to blow way all your data balance as it only uploads the small hashes of the images and then it analyses them with its own database.

If you use the WhatsApp messenger which will definitely be an yes, then this app is a must have and it works quite good and helps you to maintain a good device storage space. So do try it.

How to use Whatsapp Selfie Flash feature?

September 10, 2016 by computerera

Whatsapp Selfie Flash

Yesterday I wrote about the new features arrived at Whatsapp Android Beta app. Along with the doodling on the images feature, I explained yesterday another interesting feature you can found on Whatsapp beta is Selfie Flash.

Whatsapp Selfie Flash helps us to capture brighter selfie in the dark rooms even though we do not have LED flash on the front camera.

I think you have a doubt right now? i.e. how is it possible? Yeah, a few months back I demonstrated an app in my Youtube channel on how to take bright selfies with front facing flash, you can watch it here.

Now Whatsapp incorporated the same technique in the latest version. Now whenever you want to capture selfies or videos using the built-in camera option available on Whatsapp, you will be presented with the Flash icon, even though you doesn’t have Flash on your front camera.

When you selected the Whatsapp Selfie Flash feature, your phone display will be treated as the lightning source, and the quality of the images will be better compared to dark pics. The amount of brightness available through this Selfie Flash option is completely dependent on the amount of maximum brightness offered by your smartphone.

“FU*K Apple” – strange code found in Whatsapp Android App

September 9, 2016 by computerera

FU*K Apple

It is common while writing code most of the programmers use some funny, sometimes aggressive words in the commenting section or objects in the code.

Today another strange incident came into the limelight, one of the programmers from Whatsapp used “FU*K Apple” word while writing code for the Whatsapp Android application.

He forgot to remove the lines from the original code before releasing the .APK file for public. Someone found the funny words while decompiling the .APK file of latest Android Whatsapp application.

It is not in a single instance, the word used in multiple instances. It clearly indicates the aggression of the programmer against Apple. There is a strong split in between Android and iOS programmers regarding the opinions and ideology. They fight with each other on the virtual platforms.

Every company has a mechanism to inspect entire code before finalizing the end output. Apple has to respond to the latest incident.
