How to Update Redmi Note 3 to MIUI 8 without waiting?

A week back Xiaomi released official stable version of the MIUI 8.0.1.0 to most of the Xiaomi devices. But Redmi Note 3 and Mi Max users are still waiting to get the OTA (Over The Air) update. If you are one among them, follow this guide to update to MIUI 8 instantly.

First open Settings and check for “System Updates” in the About phone screen. Apparently, the phone says, “No updates available,” don’t feed disappointed.

Step 1: Download MIUI 8.0.1.0 Global ROM for Redmi Note 3 from your phone or with your computer. Copy the file into the phone memory.

Step 2: Again open Settings> About Phone> Check for Updates, here select “Choose update package” option from the top right menu and choose the ROM file you downloaded just now.

Step 3: Your phone will restart and begins the installation of the latest MIUI 8.0 OS onto your Redmi Note 3. As of now, there is no stable version of MIUI 8.0 available for Mi Max users. Within a few days, they also can get the OS.

Redmi Note 3 is the most successful phone model in 2016. Xiaomi launched the successor of Redmi Note 3 with the name Redmi Note 4 in China market today. Soon the same model will be launched in India.

Redmi Note 4 comes in two variants. One is a 16 GB model with 2 GB of RAM, and the second one is a 64 GB model with 3 GB of RAM. There is no 32 GB model available in the series.

Coming to the design Redmi Note 4 almost looks like Redmi Note 3 with a small change regarding the design. Redmi Note 4 comes with 2.5D curved glass and also Mi 5 type chamfered edges on the smartphone.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 specifications

Display: 5.5-inch Full HD display with 1920x1080p resolution. It offers dedicated night display mode and curved glass.

Processor: MediaTek Helio X20 deca-core processor with Mali T880MP4 Graphic Processor.

Camera: The phone sports with 13 MP back camera with F/2.0 aperture, PDAF support and 5 MP selfie camera.

Connectivity: dual-SIM, 4G with VoLTE, WiFi, Fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth.

Battery: 4,100 mAh

OS: Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 8

The exact time frame of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 release in India yet to confirm. To release in the country the company has to replace MediaTek processor with Qualcomm chipset because there was a legal issue with the Ericsson. As per the legal issue,  Xiaomi can’t sell MediaTek based phones in India. As per the China  pricing the phone costs Rs. 9,000 for the 16 GB model and Rs. 12,000 for the 64 GB model.

MIUI 8.0 stable for Redmi phones released

If you are using Xiaomi Redmi phone then here is a good news for you. Xiaomi finally released MIUI 8.0 operating system stable version for various smartphone models.

In the next few hours you might be able to download MIUI 8.0 on your device as OTA (Over The Air) update. All the Xiaomi devices are not getting the update at the same time. Xiaomi rolling out the update in a phased manner.
Redmi 1S, Mi 2/2S, Mi 4i, Redmi Note 3G, Redmi Note 4G will get the update immediately. MIUI 8.0 for the other Xiaomi devices will be available soon. The latest operating system has announced along with the Mi Max phablet in July 2016. Later Xiaomi released the beta version for selected users.

Earlier the operating system stable version has expected to launch on 15th August. But it was delayed for a week and at last it arrived today. MIUI 8.0 consists a major design overhaul with plenty of new features.

Xiaomi Mi Note 2 coming with Dual Edge Display?

Are you expecting a more premium design on Xiaomi phones? Then here is the good news for you. As per the leaked image surfaced online, Xiaomi is planning to launch Xiaomi Mi Note 2 with a dual-edge display that is almost similar to Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and S6 Edge, Edge+ models.

The rumored phone might equip with 6 GB of RAM and QHD display. The device may come in two variants – one with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage and the second one may have 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB internal storage.

4 GB model may sport with 1920×1080 Full HD display, on the other hand, we can expect the Quad HD display with the 6 GB model. Both the phone are expected to run on latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor. Recently Qualcomm announced the processor. It offers great power saving features with faster performance.

4 GB model likely to be priced at Rs. 25,200, and the 6 GB model can be available for Rs. 28,200. As per the trusted sources, the smartphone will be announced in China market on 25th August.

Mi Notebook Air competing Macbook Air just for approx. 35,200

Owning an Apple Macbook Air is a dream for few people. But the budget is the biggest problem. You must invest at least 60,000 for the base model and if you want more robust model you have to spend one and a half lakhs rupees.

Xiaomi is there for us. The company entered into the laptop market with the latest introduction of Mi Notebook Air. It directly targeted Apple MacBook Air that to at a lower price point. Xiaomi Notebook Air is released in the China market today for RMB 3,499 (Rs. 35,277) , and another bigger model is priced at RMB 4,999 (Rs. 50,396)

The laptop is ultra-thin and available in two models. One is with 13.3 inches screen, and the other is the 12.5-inch display. Both are light weight measures 2.82 pounds and 2.36 pounds respectively.

The bigger model runs on Intel Core i5 processor with 8 GB RAM and for faster disk performance it equipped with 256 GB SSD. We can attach an external hard drive to the notebook to get additional storage. Xiaomi Notebook Air primarily designed for Gaming purpose, so it has dedicated graphics card. Powerful Nvidia GeForce 9400MX graphics card used on the laptop. With a single charge, you can use the laptop continuously 9.5 hours. And within half an hour the battery will be charged to 50%.

The smaller model works on Intel Core i3 processor and comes with integrated graphics chip. It equipped with 4GB RAM and 128 GB SSD storage. This model gives more battery backup than the above one, means you can get 11.5 hours backup on a single charge.

Mi Notebook Air model ports USB Type-C port for charging. It has USB 3.0 ports, HDMI port and 3.5 audio port for headphone. Another interesting element is, the laptop comes with Genuine Windows 10 Operating system.

Xiaomi entry in the notebook market will create a sensation in the industry. We witnessed the same in the smartphone market.  Both the laptops will available in India soon.
