To ease cashless transactions across the country, Govt. of India released BHIM application in a recent event. The app stood as the most downloaded app in the Google Play Store in a short period.
People facing a lot of technical issues while trying to register their bank accounts through the app and also because of a sudden spike in downloads the server itself causing connectivity issues.
The most common issue people are encountering is “device binding failed.” Few people are getting other error messages such as transaction declined message, unable to generate OTP message while using the BHIM app.
Few of the above-listed issues are associated with poor server connection, and sometimes corrupted configuration itself can cause the above-mentioned errors. So we can’t do anything on the server side, but following the below procedure, we can overcome few problems while using BHIM app.
First, you need to log out from the BHIM application. If you can’t log out from the app, go to Settings>Applictions option on your Android phone and find the BHIM app from the installed apps list. Clear data for the app.
Now place another SIM in the first slot of your dual SIM phone and use the second number to configure the BHIM app. Make sure to have 3G, 4G or WiFi, and the BHIM application needs at least 3G.
