Uber India has facilitated a new service to its users. It is named Uber Connect. This service will allow its users to send packages to their friends or family within their city. This feature looks similar to Ola’s genie.

Uber connect allows the users to send packages that can be easily transported on a two-wheeler. The package should be less than 5kgs in weight. The company also said that this feature cannot be used for sending prohibited items like recreational drugs and alcohol.
Uber launched this service in four cities in India in the first phase. The cities are Jaipur, Gurgaon, Kolkata, and Guwahati.
Users can simply download the uber app from the Google play store and when they log in with their account and enter the pickup and drop location, then along with the regular options, now the users will see another option ‘Uber Connect’. Once you confirm the trip, you will receive the details of the delivery partner. Then is you have got any special instructions for the driver, then you can always connect with the driver.
There is no confirmation from the company about the expansion of this service to the various other cities in India. But we will let you know if there is any update on that as you can also use this feature for sending packages to your dear and near ones.
