If you are using Whatsapp Beta, then record any live video with your phone camera, you can convert the video into animated GIF. The conversion process finishes on the fly. Once the conversion completed, you can send the animation to your contact.
Whatsapp beta version 2.16.242 and 2.16.244 supports this feature. To test the feature, open any contact in Whatsapp and tap the attachment symbol, select “Camera” from the list and finally select “Record Video” option.
