Earlier I reported that Whatsapp is adding Voicemail feature and the beta version of Android client got the feature in last month. Now the company is rolling out the Whatsapp Voicemail feature to the official iOS client. Whatsapp iPhone version 2.16.8 listed on Apple App Store and the new feature mentioned in the changelog.
Whatsapp Voicemail feature is helpful when the opposite person is not there is attend the call or they completely turned off the internet. It helps you to convey whatever the urgent message you want to share with them.
You may confuse Voicemail feature with the already available “Voice Message” feature. Voice message is just like chat conversation. But the Voice mail is similar to voice calls.
The option is not available there always. The option only triggered when the other party failed to attend your call. To benefit from it, first, you need to place a Whatsapp call on any of your contacts. If your friend declines or ignores your call, then Whatsapp show you three new options, those are 1. Voice Message 2. Call Again 3. Cancel. If you selected the first option immediately, you could record the voice message.
And people are eagerly waiting for the Whatsapp Video calling feature. A few days back it appeared in a Whatsapp Android beta version for a short period and Whatsapp pulled out the feature in a few hours. We can expect the video calling facility soon.
