Google today announced Youtube Go, a unique application keeping the Indian users in mind. The application helps us to discover and share Youtube videos without consuming a large volume of data.

The application is specially designed to work smoothly where mobile data connectivity is poor. By using Youtube Go we can watch Youtube videos offline without data connection, and it provides the file size, and quality options which we can select while downloading the offline videos.

Youtube product manager VP Johanna announced the new application in Delhi today. The application is available to the general public soon. If you are interested in accessing it you can apply for it here.

Gradually Indian users are showing interest on video based content and Google introducing more powerful features to its video platform Youtube in recent past. Earlier the company tied up with few telecom operators like Airtel to offer faster downloads in night hours. And also Youtube started providing offline videos feature since a long time.

You can download any video offline from your Android Youtube application when you connected to any WiFi network, and the video will be available for offline viewing for a certain period. The latest Youtube Go application is now primarily available only to the Indian users. Soon it will be rolled out to other segments of the world.
